So you want the truth? It's all a big accident... no design would ever have put these four people in the same space to make music together. Bass' original concept of a punk band to vent out various angst-ridden poetry developed into the DIY schizophrenic musical beast that is Djevara - bringing together a love of rock, punk, metal, hardcore, and lots more besides, coupled with rockin' out doesn't need to mean lacking intelligence or thought, and armed with a fiercely independent zeal and belief in the power of music to transcend apathy and as a voice of meaningful expression. Depending who you speak to, this bunch of unlikely lads ended up joining forces to bring about the Djevara ... or to express anger, frustration and disgust at a world gone mad... or failing that, just to play raucously loud 'heavy alternative rock' because something they can't explain in their very bones forces them to do so. Is it punk? Is it metal? They don't care, just as long as it rocks.
