Psychophonic Records

Mantus combines elements of Metal, Hardcore and Punk to create a varied set with aggressive vocals and a hint of melody. The band was originally formed by Greg Blakeley, with the first two recordings carried out as a one man band. Through searching for various members to take the music to the live setting, Neil Bored was brought into the band after filling in for a collaberative gig between Mantus and the Dodgems. Scott Bane was brought in to play the Bass through a long-standing friendship and partnership with Neil, who both play together in 'Urban nightmare' and 'First Signs Of The Aftermath' (or F.S.O.T.A), but two months later they both left due to their other commitments in the bands mentioned above. It wasn't until April '07 that Greg was put in touch with Thew, who also plays drums for Mouth and recorded his solo project under the name Killingyouguy. After three months of rehearsals as a 2-piece Mark had shown interest in the band that lead to a full 3-piece line-up.
